Compete with the Best in Texas!
Students in the Rock Hill choir program are encouraged to participate in TMEA Region and State TMEA auditions. This extra opportunity will allow students to prepare quality choral music through several audition rounds, develop sightreading skills, and build artistry through detailed preparation.
Attend an All-State Choir Camp this summer!
We are excited that you plan to audition for the Region Choir in the fall! This audition process is the most competitive in the country. If you are an incoming freshman, new to Texas, or currently at Rock Hill and auditioning for the first time, the audition process can appear overwhelming ... it's just different! Attending an All-State Choir Camp is the best way to up your competitive game, prepare at a higher level, and learn some challenging music in advance of the start of school.
You are welcome to attend one (or more) of the great options offered across the state, however, the majority of our Rock Hill choir members will be attending the camp at the Univ of Texas at Arlington (July 17-19, with an optional Area Repertoire Day on July 16) to receive their group discount, or attending an earlier option at SMU (June 5-7 – this is a commuter camp).

Attend the *Required* District Choir Workshop
Thinking about auditioning for the 2025 TMEA Region 24 Choir?
Would you like to get a head start on several pieces of choral music that might be a bit more challenging than the music you will sing in your choir? Are you an incoming Freshman choir member that is looking to make the big jump from Middle School to a 5A or 6A High School in the Fall?
The Prosper ISD 2025 District Choir Workshop is just what you need! One day only (August 1, 2025) of advanced music learning, skill building, audition practice and procedures, and building confidence at Prosper High School. All of the first round Texas All-State music will be taught by master teachers and clinicians.
The first round of All Region Auditions (the “district round”) will be after just four and a half full weeks of school. Get a head start on the audition music by joining us. Come sing with the best in the Prosper ISD!
This workshop is REQUIRED for any Rock Hill HS choir member planning to audition in the fall.
