Pre-Area Auditions on Tuesday

Tuesday, November 19 at Heritage High School

10 Rock Hill choir members have advanced to the third round (of four) of All-State Choir auditions. The Pre-Area round will be held at Heritage High School (Frisco ISD).

SCHEDULE

Please allow at least 20 minutes to drive to Heritage High School if you are coming from Rock Hill High School. DO NOT ARRIVE BEFORE 4:15 PM OR AFTER 4:45 PM DUE TO TRAFFIC AT HHS.

   4:45 PM

   Registration for all Sop 1, Alto 1, Tenor 1, and Bass 1 voices (in Auditorium)

   7:15 PM 

   Registration for all Sop 2, Alto 2, Tenor 2, and Bass 2 voices (in Auditorium)

ARRIVAL AT HERITAGE HIGH SCHOOL:

Everyone is asked to use the INDEPENDENCE RD ENTRANCE TO THE CAMPUS. HHS will be releasing students at 4:25 PM, so arrival will be difficult until 4:40 PM.

REMINDERS:

• Leave you cell phone in your car or at home. No cell phones, smart watches, mp3 players or electronic devices are allowed athletes the audition site.

• Be on time

• There will be two separate rounds at this audition -- you will sing your literature cuts, be sent to a holding area, then sightread in a separate room/round.

• The Top 5 on each voice part from this audition round will advance to the Area Audition on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at the Univ of Texas at Arlington.

Each choir member took a short walk through the 24-25 Rock Hill Choir Handbook the second week of school, as well as receive forms and fee information to be taken home.

All choir fees should must be paid as soon as possible. Parents may send check or cash to school in an envelope with the fee sheet (so we may keep track of who is pay and what fees they are paying), or pay online.

The choir program at Rock Hill is very frugal when it comes to fee requirement. Our fee for the year is the cheapest of most organizations on the campus, and is in line with the choir programs at PHS and Walnut Grove.
